Position Overview: The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, specifically in the commercial and industrial sectors. They will lead a team of project managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within budget and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and project management, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for multiple projects simultaneously
- Supervise and mentor project managers and provide guidance on complex issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards
- Manage project budget and track expenses to ensure financial goals are met
- Identify and mitigate project risks to prevent delays and cost overruns
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the commercial and industrial sectors
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Proficient in project management software and tools
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
