We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer with a passion for renewable energy to lead clients, projects, and portfolios as a Project Manager and their projects throughout the region. The Project Manager will work closely with our core renewables team and will manage the project responsibilities. You'll be expected to contribute to all phases of Renewable Energy and other Civil Engineering projects including development of schematic drawings, working within teams in a collaborative manner, producing effective and high-quality drawings to be issued for construction, steering projects through the municipal or state approval process, and supporting projects throughout construction as they progress to commissioning.
What you'll be doing:
You'll need to have the ability to communicate effectively using verbal, graphic, and writing skills is paramount and a necessity for this position. Assist with proposal writing and business development. Manage mid-level and entry-level staff, planning, scheduling, developing, coordinating, directing, and managing a variety of renewable energy projects and portfolios. Preparing various types of related reports and studies and securing local approvals and permits for projects.
Contribute to marketing of the firm and development of new business by initiating relationships with new clients, maintaining relationships with current clients, and key individuals of other organizations and companies. Developing and evaluating plans and criteria for renewable energy projects as well as planning and coordinating activities to be carried out by others including in-house engineers, designers, and surveyors and outside specialty consultants. Develop an understanding of local/state jurisdictional requirements for utility-scale, distributed generation and behind-the-meter renewable energy applications.
