A leader in the manufacture of automotive production and lab testing equipment is looking for a talented Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for our advanced machinery. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the smooth operation of equipment such as dynamic balancing machines, tire and wheel uniformity testers, servo motor controlled series of specialized testers, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems for automotive production and lab testing equipment.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in control systems design and programming, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs, Mitsubishi, and Pro face controls.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control system components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
